What image program is best for use with digital backgrounds?

The backdrops are image files to be used with any image editing program that is compatible with .tif files. But the included tutorial and free video tutorials on EZbackgrounds.com use Photoshop products as their examples.

If you do not have a compatible image editing program, we recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements 2. This is the best program for the money. It can do almost everything that the pro versions can do, but for hundreds of dollars less. You can purchase it on Ebay for about $20. We do not sell this program, so you know this is a sincere recommendation.

There is also an excellent free alternative called GIMP which works great with the digital backgrounds. You can download it for free at gimp.org.

Is the process difficult?

The vast majority of people find the process easy to learn. We have free video tutorials at our website and our ebook is also included which gives you step-by-step visual instructions of the process. Do I need a green screen?

No, a plain white wall or sheet at home will work just fine. For professionals we do recommend a chroma key backdrop for better workflow. However, it is not required. How large can I print the images?

Images are 3000x2400 images or approximately 8MP or larger, so whatever you would be comfortable with enlarging that size image. We don't recommend going over 16x20 for best photo quality.

What is a tiff image?

A tif is a file format extension like jpg. It is a better file type to store images since jpg images can degrade over time due to recompression of pixels. The tif images are completely compatible and interchangeable with your jpg images and can be printed as you would the images from your digital camera.
